  	A sketch of his life as presented by "Aurora" of 1882 says: "On Sunday last at the Convent in Tracadie, the Rev. Edward Vaughan approached the close of a long and holy life. The Sacraments were administered by Rev. Fr. Giroir, the prayers for the dying were recited and just when the prayers ended Fr. Vaughan died."
